This year, to commemorate the ten years that have passed since the Sept. 11 attacks, North Carolina’s Touchstone Energy cooperatives are sponsoring N.C. State’s Military Appreciation Day football game against South Alabama on Sept. 17, 2011. Discounted tickets are available for purchase.
N.C. State is offering active and retired military personnel and their families the opportunity to purchase tickets to the game at a discounted rate of $19 (a savings of $20). Tickets can be purchased by logging onto GoPack.com/promo and entering the promo code: USA. Purchasers must show valid Military ID when picking up tickets.
A variety of events honoring our troops will be held throughout the day, including a Wounded Warriors Walk of Champions, a special military tribute, and delivery of the game ball by parachuters.
