Piedmont Electric crews and crews from sister cooperatives and contractors are making progress on restoration efforts. Our outage restoration has climbed to more than 5,180 as of 845am this morning. Working with us are crews from Edgecombe Martin County EMC, Halifax EMC, Pitt & Green EMC, and Brunswick EMC plus crews from Pike, Lewis Tree, Lee Electric and XYLEM Tree Experts assisting us in our restoration efforts. Crews are working to restore power to the more than 15,800 members who are still without power as the result of Friday’s ice storm.
