Outage Update – PEMC has restored power to 4,500 members

Throughout the night crews worked on large circuit issues and were able to increase the restored total to more than 4,500 members.  Piedmont Electric continues to restore power to the more than 16,000 members who are still without power as the result of Friday’s ice storm.  Piedmont Electric crews have been joined by sister co-ops and contractors to make headway in our restoration efforts.  Please continue to view our Outage Viewer to stay informed of our restoration efforts.  We are working diligently to restore the remaining outages as quickly and safely as possible.  If you are without power and have not reported your outage, please call our Outage Reporting Number at 1.800.449.2667.  If you would like to speak to someone in our office today, please call us 1.800.222.3107.

    I live in Pollard acres. The last time anyone trimmed trees away from power lines was about 3 or 4 years ago. Maybe this needs to be done more often and we wouldnt have the disaster we have here now.
