On January 5, 2012, fourteen community members and Piedmont Electric employees donated 23 units of blood to the American Red Cross Mini Blood Mobile.
The Blood Drive was held at Piedmont Electric’s Hillsborough office. Piedmont EMC sponsors several community blood drives for the American Red Cross each year. The next blood drive is planned to be held in April at the Hillsborough office.
