Piedmont Electric reports the last outage, which was located in Alamance County, that resulted from Friday’s major ice storm was restored at 10:58 PM on Tuesday night. At the height of the outage, more than 21,050 Piedmont Electric customers were without power which impacted all counties served. We have replaced more than 90 poles, 150 cross arms and more than 100 transformers that were damaged during the ice storm. Our thanks go to our members for their patience and understanding during this major outage, which was one of the worst storm outages in Piedmont Electric’s history.
