Piedmont Electric, with assistance from outside crews, made progress today bringing the total restoration to more than 8,500 members. Working with PEMC are more than 220 line workers coming from Jones – Onslow EMC, Lumbee River EMC, Four County EMC, Edgecombe Martin County EMC, Halifax EMC, Pitt & Green EMC, and Brunswick EMC plus crews from Pike, Lewis Tree, Lee Electric and XYLEM Tree Experts and Davey Tree. We greatly appreciate their assistance as we make progress in restoring power to our members. Crews are working to restore power to the more than 12,200 members who are still without power as the result of Friday’s ice storm.
