Piedmont EMC apologizes to our members for any inconvenience that the November 1, 2014 planned maintenance outage in the Buckhorn area may cause. Piedmont EMC will be repairing the steel structure at the Buckhorn Substation near Efland which was damaged during the March 2014 ice storm. This work can only be performed with the substation de-energized. Please be assured your power will be restored as soon as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: The weather forecast for the morning of November 1st is showing 60% chance of rain with winds of 15 to 25 mph which could complicate the repairs resulting in a longer outage than originally planned.
