Solar for All

As your trusted energy provider, Piedmont Electric is proud to offer members a solar energy option beyond the traditional, on-site home installation. Participating in community solar is a way for members to utilize locally produced, clean energy to help offset their carbon footprint. And because it’s a community-shared resource, participants can support renewable energy for a more affordable price. Learn more about your options below.
Piedmont Electric, in partnership with the NC Clean Energy Technology Center, will provide four eligible members with subscriptions to our community solar program for ten years. That way members can get the benefit of the credits without the subscription fee. We will be offering these subscriptions on a lottery basis to all income-qualified utility members who apply.
Applications are no longer being accepted at this time. We hope to have additional funding in the future to create more opportunities for members.
