As your co-op, we are woven into the fabric of our community. As part of that community we strive to make it a better place to live, work and raise a family, not just through our exceptional service, but through our involvement in the communities we serve.
Community outreach
We host events like our annual Community Day and blood drives in an effort to connect our members and promote community involvement for all. Mark your calendar for this year’s Community Day at the Cedar Grove Ruritan Club on Oct. 12 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Additionally, we work with the USDA to provide zero-interest loans to our rural community through the Rural Econohttps://pemc.coop/community/mic Development Loan and Grant program (REDLG) to strengthen our local area.
Helping those in need
One of our core beliefs is that the best way to make a difference is to work together with a common goal in mind. We established our Helping Hand Foundation as a way to help those who need assistance with support from our members.
We understand that our young members are the future of our nation! This is why we invest in them through our college scholarships, basketball camp scholarships and Youth Tour program. We also recognize that teachers are an integral part of the development of our youth, which is why we offer Bright Ideas grants every year to help fund innovative classroom project ideas.
These are just a few examples of the opportunities we provide to our members. Learn more here.
