Basketball Camp

Lace up those sneakers basketball fans!

Each year, Piedmont Electric Cooperative awards a full scholarship to a local middle school boy and girl to attend summer college basketball camps. At both camps, campers will work closely with college basketball coaches and camp staff to develop fundamental skills that help the young athletes perform and excel both on and off the court. Campers will stay in dorms overnight during the camp sessions. For more information about both camps and to apply, visit the link below.

Important Dates

  • Applications open: Jan.1
  • Applications close: March 31
  • Notifications: End of April

Eligibility

  • Rising sixth-grade boys are eligible to apply for the Carolina Basketball School. (June 22 – 26)
  • Rising sixth- through eighth-grade girls are eligible to apply for the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp. (June 16-19)
  • To be eligible, applications must be postmarked by the deadline.

Piedmont Electric, along with North Carolina’s other Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, award middle-school students full scholarships to attend basketball camp on college campuses each summer. The Touchstone Energy Sports Camps program provides a unique educational and athletic opportunity for our state’s youth and demonstrates Touchstone Energy’s core values of accountability, integrity, innovation and particularly, commitment to community. Piedmont Electric will award scholarships to one boy and one girl.
