September kicks off National Drive Electric Month, and Piedmont Electric is making it easier than ever to charge up and save. Whether you already drive electric or you are just starting to shop, here is what you need to know about charging at home and how your co-op can help you save.

Save With Our EV Time-of-Day Rate
Electricity costs less to deliver when demand on the grid is low, especially overnight. Our EV time-of-day rate passes those savings along to members who charge during off-peak hours. Plug in before bed, wake up to a full battery and pay less for it. It’s a win for your wallet and for the grid we all share.
Best Charging Hours – 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. each day
Hours to Avoid – Summer: 2-6 p.m. weekdays | Winter: 6-10 a.m. weekdays
Two Rebates, One Simple Form
Members who purchase or lease a plug-in electric vehicle can earn up to $100 in bill credits:
$50 for registering your EV with the co-op. Just let us know what you drive and hare a copy of your vehicle registration.
$50 more when you sign up for the EV time-of-day rate.
Multiple vehicles qualify for multiple rebates. To be eligible, your vehicle registration must show the same address that receives electric service from the cooperative. Apply for both rebates with one form at pemc.coop/electric-vehicles, or call an energy specialist at 800.222.3107 with questions
