Piedmont Electric Cooperative’s Helping Hand Foundation gives the co-op and its members the power to support many valuable community projects including aid for members during crisis situations, Bright Ideas Grants for educators, college scholarships, youth leadership camps and more!
For members in the program, they will have their bill rounded up to the nearest dollar to help fund the Helping Hand Foundation. For example, if your monthly energy bill came to $85.50, we would round your bill up to $86.00. The extra $0.50 is used by the Helping Hand Foundation to assist members in need, support our local community outreach and assist local nonprofits in serving our communities. All funds donated to the foundation are tax deductible.
We understand that some members may not want to support the efforts of the Helping Hand Foundation to help our community. We’ve made it easy to opt out of the program at any time or receive a full refund of any donated funds.
