Each month, Piedmont Electric Cooperative mails thousands of paper bills to members. For some, that paper bill is an essential part of how they manage their payments—whether they mail in a check, drop by our office or call in to pay. But for many others, paper bills are tossed straight in the recycling bin or trash, without ever being opened.
Changes Starting July 1, 2025
To reduce waste and lower costs, we’re making a small but impactful change. Starting July 1, if you regularly pay your bill through a digital format such as autopay, online banking or our mobile app, you will no longer receive a printed bill.
If you would still like to receive a paper bill, no problem! Please contact us before July 1 at info@ pemc.coop or 800.222.3107 and we will continue to mail you your bill.
Why Are We Making This Change?
This simple change helps us cut down on unnecessary printing and mailing costs—savings that help keep costs lower for all our members. Not to mention, it also helps us avoid paper waste and supports a more environmentally friendly process. It’s a small step, but together, we can make a big difference.
What if I Pay Online and Want to Keep My Paper Bill?
Pay online and want to keep your paper bill? We understand that you may prefer to have a paper bill in addition to your digital bill. In order to keep receiving the paper bill, contact us today at 800.222.3107 or info@pemc.coop to opt in before July 1!
