Supporting our Community

During the Holidays and Throughout the Year

Piedmont Electric is proud to support the community during this time of giving and throughout the year. We sponsor a number of programs that build the communities in which we live and work, and we provide options for our members to get involved as well!

Project Helping Hand

One of the easiest ways Piedmont Electric members can contribute to their community is through Project Helping Hand. Enrolling in this program allows us to round your bill to the nearest whole dollar each month. So if your electric bill is $75.61, then we’ll round your bill to an even $76. The extra $0.39 is put into a fund that we use to help less fortunate members of our community pay their electric bills. To find out more click here.

Food and Toy Drive

Each fall, Piedmont Electric sponsors a food and toy drive to help those in need have a happy holiday season. Those wishing to participate should bring their donations to any of our office locations by December 9. We are collecting:

  • New toys for children (infant to 12 years old)
  • New clothing or electronics for teens (13 to 18 years old)
  • Non-perishable food items for the holiday season (canned chicken or tuna, soup, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice, canned or dried beans, etc.)
  • Cash donations are also accepted

Donations from members will be used to help families in need in our communities.
