We appreciate the opportunity to serve you!
It’s not just about what you do, it’s also why you do it. What we do it deliver reliable affordable power. We do this because we are committed to the well-being of our members. Read on to learn about how we provide a good value, our goal of lowest cost and how we’ve been exceeding expectations since 1938.
The seven cooperative principles
We do things differently at the co-op because we are focused on seven core principles.
As a not-for-profit cooperative, when we collect more money than we spend, we return these funds to members through a capital credit. This year, we are returning credits for members who purchased electricity in 1991.
There’s power in a co-op membership
Being a member of our cooperative means that you get all of the valuable energy- and money-saving tools and programs that Piedmont Electric has to offer!
If you own a Nest or Ecobee smart thermostat you can get a $50 rebate, save energy and receive bill credits by joining this program.
Our time-of-day rates allow you to pay a lower rate for the energy you use during off-peak hours.
Our electric vehicle rate is designed for EV owners who charge their vehicle overnight.
We offer a number of rebates to our members for products like smart thermostats, electric heat pumps, electric vehicles and lighting.
Receive alerts before an expected peak time to remind you to reduce your energy use.
