Sign Up for Our Time-of-Day Rate
One of the easiest ways to save money on energy is by taking advantage of our time-of-day rate. When you sign up, you’ll pay a lower rate for the energy you use during off -peak times, which includes most holidays, weekends and about 20 hours each weekday. Consider the following example of how much a time-of-day rate can actually help you save* when you do your laundry off -peak.
Average yearly cost to run a washing machine and dryer:
Residential rate: $123.66 per year
Off-peak time-of-day rate: $48.40 per year
You could save more than $75 per year by signing up for our time-of-day rate and doing your laundry at off -peak times!
You can also see big savings for moving other large energy users like a/c units, electric heat, water heaters, dishwashers, ovens and well pumps to off -peak times.

Part of our power supply costs is determined by how much energy the members in our cooperative use during peak times. If we can all reduce usage during these times, it can help lower our power costs, which directly impacts how much you pay as a member.
Help us decrease the demand for energy during peak times by signing up for Beat the Peak alerts, which will tell you when a peak time period is expected. Then, reduce your energy usage during these times to help us all save. Sign up by texting BTPEAK (first and last name) to 800.222.3107.
