Welcome to Piedmont Electric!

If you are moving into a residence with existing electric service, please complete the form below so we can help you set up your account. If you are establishing service at a location that does not have electric power in place, such as new construction, please contact us at 1.800.222.3107.

Important: If you require service within the next 2 days (excluding weekends and holidays), we ask you to contact us by phone.

As a cooperative, the people who use our power actually own Piedmont Electric. It only takes $5.00 to start your membership with Piedmont Electric. We do require a minimum deposit of $400 to receive electric service. The deposit can be waived for those with good credit, those who participate in our prepay program and those with a letter of reference from their previous electric utility. Your deposit will be returned to you as a credit on your bill once your bill has been paid on time for a minimum of 12 months with two or fewer delinquent bills. The deposit accrues interest after 90 days.

At the end of the application form you will have an opportunity to provide additional information about your request or to ask other questions regarding your new service. Please print out a copy of your completed application form for your records.
