2/18 – 5:00 p.m.
Piedmont Electric continues to closely monitor the weather as a Winter Weather Advisory will remain in effect for our area through Friday morning. Should our service territory begin to experience widespread power outages, Piedmont Electric is prepared. In addition to our own, we have secured several crews from visiting co-ops and contractors who will remain on stand-by in our area ready to deploy if necessary.
If you experience an outage, please report it through SmartHub or by calling 800.222.3107. If there is a busy tone, please call back in a few minutes or report your outage through SmartHub or by our text outage program if you are already registered.
2/18 – 11:15 a.m.
We currently have 812 members without power. The large outage in north Granville County is due to a Duke Energy outage.

2/17 – 12:15 p.m.
With ice in the forecast tonight, it is important to be prepared and to have your emergency kit stocked and a safety plan in place. Our crews are ready to respond to any outages.
