11:25 a.m. – Our crews continue to work on restoring power throughout our service territory. We currently have 2,428 members without power. When trees fall on the lines, it causes significant damage which takes a longer time to repair. Our crews must first safely remove the tree before repairing the lines and/or poles. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our crews work as safely and quickly as possible.

9:15 a.m. – Yesterday’s severe storms caused significant damage across our area. Our crews have begun making repairs and are still assessing damage in some areas. As restoration efforts progress, estimated times will be posted on our outage map. If your outage does not have an estimated restoration time we will be updating throughout the day.
2/7/2020 at 7:45 a.m. – There is a Wind Advisory for central NC until 5:00 p.m. today. The National Weather Service expects significant tree damage including falling limbs and branches. With the soil soaked from the rain, uprooted trees are also expected. This weather may cause outages but, as always, our crews are ready to respond and are currently working on the existing outages.
Please remember to stay away from downed power lines and anything touching them as they might still be energized and are dangerous.
If you are experiencing an outage, please report it through SmartHub or by calling us at 800.222.3107. Thank you!
