We offer a variety of convenient programs and resources designed to provide flexibility, peace of mind and support when you need it most.
Flexible Payment Extensions
If you’re facing a temporary hardship, we can work with you to help avoid service interruptions. Qualified members can request a short-term extension on their bill due date through SmartHub or by calling 800.222.3107. Extensions provide breathing room during difficult moments, but please note that future bills will return to their original due dates. Learn more about this option at pemc.coop/payment-extensions.
Assistance Programs
Sometimes, extra support is needed beyond an extension. Piedmont Electric partners with local organizations that provide energy assistance for qualified members. Once approved, these organizations notify us directly, and their pledge is applied to your account. Assistance funds are also available through our Helping Hand Foundation. Payment Options That Fit Your Life
We understand that every household manages finances differently, which is why we offer multiple convenient payment options:
Automatic bank draft – Simplify your routine by having your bill paid automatically by bank account, debit or credit card.
Equal payment plan – Pay the same amount each month, based on your last 12 months of energy use. This makes budgeting easier, with a settle-up adjustment once a year.
Prepay program – Take control by adding funds to your account on your own schedule. Receive low-balance alerts so you always know when it’s time to make another payment.
