Lace up those sneakers basketball fans!
Piedmont Electric, along with North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives, award two middle-school students, full scholarships to attend basketball camp on college campuses each summer. The Touchstone Energy Sports Camps program provides a unique educational and athletic opportunity for our state’s youth and demonstrates cooperative’s core values of accountability, integrity, innovation and particularly, commitment to community. Piedmont Electric will award scholarships to one boy and one girl.
Important Dates
- Applications open: Jan.1
- Applications close: March 31
- Notifications: End of April
Eligibility
- Young men who will be in 6th or 7th grade during the 2024-2025 school year can apply for a scholarship through their local electric cooperative to attend the Carolina Basketball School June 22-26, 2024 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
- Young women who will be in 6th or 7th grade during the 2024-2025 school year can apply for a scholarship through their local electric cooperative to attend the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp June 16-19, 2024 at N.C. State University in Raleigh.
